Minnesota's agricultural workers face unique mental health challenges due to the state's rural landscape and the stresses of the farming industry. The prevalence of mental health issues among agricultural workers in Minnesota is a significant concern, with 1 in 5 farmers reporting symptoms of depression. To address this, a mental health support initiative is being launched to provide targeted services for agricultural workers. The program will focus on delivering counseling services and stress management workshops in rural areas. ## Readiness for Mental Health Support in Minnesota To be successful, applicants must demonstrate readiness to implement such a program, including having the necessary infrastructure and partnerships in place. Minnesota's rural nature requires a deep understanding of the challenges faced by agricultural workers and the ability to deliver services in a way that is accessible to them. ## Measuring Success in Minnesota's Agricultural Communities Success will be measured through participant feedback and a reduction in mental health crises among agricultural workers.
